Turpin Group Wins Third KSCB Chili Cook-off

On a sunny and clear day KSCB held the annual Chili Cook-off as part of the Liberal Chamber of Commerce’s Duck Festival at Blue Bonnet Park. Turpin’s Relay for Life won the cook-off for a third consecutive year to win 250 dollars and the KSCB travelling trophy. Mosaic took second place to win 150 dollars and Fernie Villarreal and Ruby Montes placed third to win 50 dollars. Mosaic also won the People’s Choice Award for 50 dollars and Seward County Community College/Area Technical School Ag Department won Best Presentation for 50 dollars.

Proceeds benefit Big Brother Big Sisters of Seward, Haskell, and Stevens Counties and Whirlwind Career Counseling for Veterans.
