Seward County authorities and the KBI are investigating a weekend homicide.

Seward County Undersherriff Gene Ward said emergency crews were called to a home in northwest Seward County Saturday evening at approximately 8:30pm. Deputies found a man unconscious and suffering from bruising, and notified the KBI Criminal Investigations who then obtained a search warrant of the residence. The man was flown to a Wichita hospital where he died early Sunday.

The victim is identified as Thomas Miller, 51, of Garden City. Miller is a former Liberal resident.

No one has been arrested in the case, but interviews are being conducted and investigators are treating the case as a homicide.
