Collins Inks with Mississippi State

Seward righty Corey Collins signed with Mississippi State this week. The 6’6″ pitcher from Littleton Colorado’s Chatfield High School picked Mississippi State over Oklahoma State, Southeast Missouri State, North Carolina State, and others. Collins went 9-3 for the Saints with an ERA of 2.59. Collins struck out 58 and walked 19. Collins logged 75.2 innings for the 37-22 Saints. MSU has been to eight College World Series including 2007. Collins plays for the Colorado Sox and will play the Liberal Bee Jays Thursday and Friday night at Brent Gould Field.
