Tyrone Calls for Lockdown Friday After Threats

KSCB News - April 5, 2013 2:59 pm

Tyrone Superintendent Josh Bell tells KSCB News at about 5:55 pm Friday that the Tyrone school lockdown has been lifted, and the investigation of the incident continues. All students and teachers who were in school are now released to their families. Bell says an activity bus carrying returning track students will arrive any minute now at approximately 6:00 pm, and parents of track students can pick up their students at the rear of the building, from where the other students were evacuated and released earlier. This incident began at about 2:50 pm Friday, when Bell says someone called the school and made a threat toward Bell and the school secretary who answered the call.
