County Chooses Leader Despite Higher Bid

Last week the Liberal City Commission chose the High Plains Daily Leader Newspaper as their official newspaper despite being the higher bid. Monday night the Seward County Commission chose the High Plains Daily Leader as their official newspaper with a 4-1 vote. The Southwest Times again had the low bid of three dollars per column inch while the Leader’s bid with again $3.90 per column inch. The Leader will publish Seward County’s legal notices after the vote.
