KSCB News - January 1, 2013 10:34 am

In a letter addressed to USD 480 School Board President Delvin Kinser, Board Member Reid Petty, submitted the following Letter of Resignation:

Delvin Kinser, President of USD 480 Board of Education

Mr. President,

I hereby submit my resignation as a member of the USD 480 Board of Education effective Monday, January 14, 2013 at 2:00 p.m.

Due to being elected to the Kansas State House of Representatives, I will be in Topeka during on weekdays until the end of May and would have to miss most of the meetings and believe it is in the best interest of the school district and the state of Kansas for me to fully focus on my new position.

I will always value my time on the board of education and wish the board, administration, teachers, staff, and students the best of luck in the challenges that lie ahead.

Sincerely,

Reid Petty

Board Member

USD #480
