Jackknifed Truck Kills Man in Meade County

A man lost his life in Meade County Wednesday afternoon after jackknifing his truck. The Kansas Highway Patrol reports 67 year old Herman Anderson Jr. of Bristol, Tennessee drove his truck east on Highway 54 before veering to the left and into the north ditch east of Fowler. Anderson Jr’s truck drove off into the railroad cut about 38 feet deep. The vehicle jackknifed after impact. The accident occurred at about 2:40 Wednesday afternoon and Anderson Jr. passed away at 5:25 p.m.
