Whirlwind Sets Operation Holiday Memories into Motion

KSCB News - December 4, 2012 1:48 pm

For local military families, all they want for Christmas is their loved one back home. That’s where Operation Holiday Memories comes in. Whirlwind Career Counseling for Veterans Ed Poley says they are accepting donations to help defray costs to bring soldiers home for the holidays.

"We do have a lot of kids who are anywhere from 18-38 who are part of the active component," Poley said. "Whether they are deployed in Aphghanistan or Iraq right now, or Korea, or hear in the United States, they are really all over the world. Some of those kids are going to have a hard time getting home for the holidays."

If you want to donate, send a check to P.O. Box 238 or call 370-2769. Please write "Operation Holiday Memories" on the check.
