Patron Insight Survey also Shows Public Perception of School District

This week KSCB news will be informing the public as to what the results were to the Patron Insight telephone survey that called 400 patrons in the USD 480 School District to find out why the school bond failed and what the public thinks of the school district as a whole. On Tuesday, KSCB news reported what the top three reasons were for the bond failing according to Patron Insight. Those three included people being concerned about the economy in general, some people didnź??t think the district spends money wisely, and residents didnź??t want to spend money for artificial turf for the stadium. The survey also included a 5-point scale rating for the school district as a whole. The following were some of the items rated by the patrons contacted in the survey. Again the ratings are on a five point scale.

Convenience of school locations 4.53

Quality of teachers 4.29

Variety and quality of extra-curricular activities 4.19

Quality of principals 4.18

Quality of school facilities 4.17

Upkeep and maintenance of school facilities 4.14

Quality of Education in the Liberal School District 4.02
