Mainstreet Guymon Takes On Temporary New Look

KSCB News - May 19, 2009 12:00 am

Banners have been hung along mainstreet in Guymon earlier this week and all have been designed by local artists. The banners are promoting the Sunflower Art, Food and Wine Festival which has been set for the first week in June. During the Festival the banners will be auctioned off on Saturday June the 6th. Nineteen local artists contributed their time and talents to this project. The Sunflower Festival will kick off on June 5th with a Bi-Polar Echo concert. On Saturday the 6th the banner auction will take place in addition to a 2-D and 3-D competition, a Food Competition, and a State Wine Championship. That night there will be a performance from Red Dirt Rangers and Buffalo Fitz. The events are open to everyone.
