Stanton County Accident Claims Life of 10 Year Old

A 10 year old boy lost his life and four others were injured after an auto accident in Stanton County Tuesday afternoon. The Kansas Highway Patrol reports 22 year old Danica Ward was driving a 2006 Pontiac east onf Highway 160 11 miles west of Johnson at about 3:30 Tuesday afternoon. The vehicle ran off the right side of the road and overcorrected. The vehicle came back across the center line and overcorrected again before the vehicle entered the south ditch, rolled and came to rest facing north on the passenger side of the vehicle.

Ten year old Camden Ward of Lexington, Nebraska lost his life and was pronounced dead at Stanton County Hospital at about 5:30 p.m. The driver Danica Ward of Laramie, Wyoming; three year old Emmalee Ward of Laramie, Wyoming; seven year olf Benjamin Ward of Lexington, Nebraska; and seven month old Aubree Ward of Laramie, Wyoming were all injured and taken to Stanton County Hospital.
