Lauren Sarchet Crowned Miss Liberal 2012

Liberal High School Senior Lauren Sarchet was crowned the new Miss Liberal Sunday afternoon in front of a packed house at the Jim Maskus Auditorium at Liberal High School. Sarchet, the daughter of Dr. Jeff and Patricia Sarchet of Hugoton, received her crown from the outgoing Miss Liberal Kaela Krueger. 2nd runner – up was Makatlynn Plunk, while Giovanna Baca was 1st runner – up. Lauren also won the Talent Award,the Private Interview, and shared the fitness award with Plunk and Krystin Campbell. Giovananna Baca received the Miss Congeniality Award from the other contestants, and Makatlynn Plunk was honored with the Adrienne Rosel Bulinski "Quality Of Life" Award. Sarchet will be gin her reign as Miss Liberal 2012 immediately and will also begin preparing for the Miss Kansas Pageant which will be held in Pratt Kansas in June.
