Steckline Book Keeper Pleads Guilty

KSCB News - December 20, 2011 8:31 am

A former bookkeeper charged with embezzling
more than $2 million from a Wichita-based chain of radio stations
where he worked has pleaded guilty to one count of wire fraud.
The U.S. Attorney’s office says William Nolan entered the plea
Monday in federal court in Wichita. Prosecutors will argue at his
sentencing in March that he should have to pay restitution of more
than $2 million.
In his plea, Nolan admitted embezzling from LS Media, Steckline
Communications Inc.; Mid-America Ag Network Inc.; and Broadcast
Technical Associates LLC.
He admitted issuing company checks to pay for his personal
credit cards and using electronic transfers to buy personal
property for himself and his family.
Prosecutors have agreed to recommend that Nolan receive a
sentence at the low end of federal guidelines.
