Husband Sentenced in Wife’s Murder

A Kiowa County man convicted of killing his wife, will spend nearly 14 years behind bars.

A judge sentenced Mark Ralstin, 40, for 165 months in prison in connection to Bobbie Jo Ralston’s November 2009 death.

A jury convicted Mark Ralstin of second-degree intentional murder in July.

The victim was shot six times as she sat in a vehicle in the yard of the couple’s home near Mullinville in rural Kiowa County on Nov. 9, 2009.

After the shooting, Ralstin drove to his sister’s home in Sylvia, where
he was arrested.
