USD 480 Board of Education Meets

The USD 480 Board of Education met for their regular meeting this week at the Education Service Center. Among the items on the agenda, the Board accepted several monetary gifts from thew community. Accepted was a$50.00 donation from Union Pacific Corporation for McDermott Elementary and a $200.00 donation from Holman’s Auto Sales for McDermotts Drug Awareness Program. Sunflower Intermediate Schools Booster Club made a donation of $17,209.00 to be used for playground equipment. USD 480 also waived building fees for West Middle School and MacArthur Elementary school for Kids Incorporated. The Board also tabled the consideration of adding four classified staff positions, approved the royalty agreement between the District and Ohiopyle Inc. and approved the Athletic Tobacco Drug Policy Violations JJDA and Policy JJDA. The USD 480 Board of Education will next meet on September 19th.
