The Office of Congressman Tim Huelskamp is currently accepting applications for nomination to four of the five U.S. Service Academies: The United States Military Academy at West Point, United States Naval Academy, United States Air Force Academy, and the Merchant Marine Academy. Below is a video address by Congressman Tim Huelskamp to those seeking nominations:

Congressman Tim Huelskamp, Representative in the First District of Kansas, is pleased to announce that his office is accepting applications for nomination to our U.S. Military Academies. Encouraged to apply are young men and women who are ages 17 to 23, and who are U.S. citizens to apply. For more information, please contact Huelkamps Hutchinson office at (620) 665-6138, or visit our website at http://Huelskamp.house.gov."

Complete information regarding application procedures can be found received by contacting Allison Reed, Constituent Services Representative, at (620) 665-6138.

The honor of attending a service academy comes with an obligation and commitment to serve in the military for a minimum of five years upon graduation. Generally, candidates who are high school juniors and will be seniors the following school year, or who have already graduated, are eligible to apply.

The deadline for application is October 1; applicants will be scheduled for an interview by early November. Academies will begin to notify candidates of their admission status in February, and all offers of appointment are generally sent out by May.
