Instructor At SCCC/ATS Receives Appointment

Suzanne Campbell, PhD, MLS(ASCP)CM has been appointed by the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science (ASCLS) Board of Directors as Focus Editor for the Clinical Laboratory Science journal. She is the Medical Laboratory Technician coordinator at Seward County Community College/Area Technical School.

Dr. Vicki S. Freeman, MLS(ASCP)CM SC, FACB, current president of Alpha Mu Tau Fraternity (AMTF) also announced that Campbell will be inducted into the fraternity at the AMTF annual dinner in Atlanta, Georgia in July.
The journal appointment is for three years with the opportunity to serve two consecutive terms. Campbell will be mentored by George Fristma until the end of his term in 2012.
AMTF is the advancement of clinical laboratory science as a scientific profession by providing monies to deserving applicants for educational endeavors. During the last year, $30,000 was distributed in scholarships.
