Oklahoma Revenues Reach Milestone

KSCB News - June 2, 2011 8:14 am

State Treasurer Ken Miller says Oklahoma’s
revenue collections have reached a milestone.
Miller says the state’s revenue collections for the past 12
months topped $10 billion for the first time in almost two years.
He’s called a news conference for Thursday morning at the state
Capitol to discuss what that number means for Oklahoma’s economy.
In April, Miller said monthly receipts in all major tax
categories were growing compared to the prior year. He said then
the increasing collections confirmed that the state’s economy was
expanding at a relatively good pace.
He says that should lead to continued job growth in Oklahoma.
