Two Semis Collide in Fog

Two semis collided in the Monday morning fog on Highway 54 in east Plains. Two men were injured but later treated and released from Meade County Hospital. Two semis were west bound on 54 at about 9:40 a.m. in east Plains when the front semi attempted a U-turn in the fog. The back semi ran into the side of the front semi causing it to roll on its side. Thirty year old Verlon Strait of Victorville, California and his passenger in the sleeper area 43 year old John David Martinez of Victorville, California were taken to Meade County Hospital with injuries but treated and released.
