Bridge Repair Underway In Clark County

KSCB News - March 23, 2011 8:22 am

A bridge repair project is underway on a bridge carrying U.S. Highway 160 over Keiger Creek, west of Ashland.

During the project, traffic over the bridge will be restricted to one lane with a nine-foot width restriction. A traffic signal will control the flow of traffic over the bridge.

The Kansas DOT urges motorists on US-160 through Clark County to drive cautiously, be alert and obey all warning signs and traffic signals.

Wildcat Construction Company, Inc., of Wichita, Kansas, is the primary contractor on this approximately $150,000 bridge repair project. KDOT’s Dodge City construction office will oversee the project. The Kansas DOT expects the project to be completed by the end of May, weather permitting.

If you have questions about this project, please contact Kirk Hutchinson, Southwest District Public Affairs Manager, at 620-276-3241 or Joyce Muhlenbruch, Construction Engineer, at 620-227-6122.
