Accident In Ulysses Injures One

A two vehicle accident Sunday evening has injured one person. The accident occurred at approximately 8:48pm at the intersection of Missouri Street & Flower Street in Ulysses. A 2010 Camaro being driven by 17 year old Emilio Duran and 2005 Ford F-150 pick up driven by Manuel Garcia-Holguin, 29, of Garden City, were both travelling south on Missouri Street and Duran rear-ended the picGarcia-Holguin vehicle. After impact the Camaro veered off and stuck a residence on east side of Missouri Street. Duran was injured in the accident and was taken to Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses. He was Later flown to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. Garcia-Holguin was not injured in the accident nor was a passenger in the Duran vehicle,Claire Appling, 17, of Ulysses. Seatbelts were in use in both vehicles.
