Train Stations To Recieve Stimulus Funds

Two of the largest cities in southwest Kansas will soon see money coming into their communities.

Dodge City and Garden City are among the six towns across Kansas scheduled to receive stimulus funds to improve their Amtrak stations. The money will go toward new wheelchair lifts and enclosures, lift pads as well as various improvements from sidewalks to fencing.

More than 10,000 passengers boarded or got off at the Dodge City and Garden City Amtrak stations last year.
