Drug Investigation In Seward County Nets 7 Arrests

A two month long investigation by the Seward County Sheriff’s Office into suspect drug activity in Liberal, ended this week with the arrest of seven individuals. Deputies of the Seward County Sheriff’s Office conducted the two month long undercover investigation into reports that individuals were selling Cocaine, Methamphetamine and Marijuana. In the early morning hours of Saturday, January 22, Deputies severed a search warrant on an area Liberal residence suspected of selling Cocaine. Deputies arrested two individuals in the residence for possession of Cocaine with the intent to sell, Possession of drug paraphernalia, no Kansas drug tax stamp, and three counts of Aggravated Child endangerment. A third person was arrested on Tuesday, January 25, in connection with this warrant. This individual was charged with sale of cocaine within 1000 ft. of a school. Deputies then severed a second search warrant on a local motel. Deputies arrested two males from the motel room, for possession of Methamphetamine, one of the individuals was also charged with the sale of Methamphetamine. On Tuesday, January 25, Deputies served a third search warrant on an area residence. Two individuals were arrested at that location for possession of Marijuana with intent to sell, No Kansas drug tax stamp, and aggravated child endangerment. One of the suspects was also charged with three counts of sale of Marijuana. Deputies seized an undisclosed amount of Methamphetamine, Cocaine and Marijuana during this investigation. All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
