Body Found In Burned Trailer

KSCB News - April 2, 2009 12:00 am

Firefighters in Finney County have found a body inside a mobile home that burned overnight.

Finney County deputies say that after Holcomb firefighters doused the blaze early Thursday, they discovered an unidentified person dead in the rubble. The body was taken to Topeka for an autopsy and the Kansas State Fire Marshal’s office is investigating to find the cause.

Sheriff Kevin Bascue said in a news release that firefighters arrived just before midnight to find the trailer fully involved in flames, and had the fire under control in about 30 minutes.
