Guymon Police Need Help In Identifying Suspect

KSCB News - November 17, 2010 12:00 am

According to the officer narrative, the incident happened Oct. 18, when an unknown man carrying a white-handled knife entered a business on the 600 block of NE Hwy. 54. The suspect walked up to the store employee and entered the cashier area demanding the employee to open the cash register. He took all the cash out of the register and demanded the employee to open the safe. The employee explained that the suspect wanted the safe open or he would ??kill her. ?

After the employee informed the suspect that she did not have the combination to the safe, the suspect walked out the front door and left in an unknown vehicle.

??It was fortunate that the business had a surveillance system and was able to capture a photo of the suspect, ? said Lt. Jason Bond of the Guymon Police Department. ??If anyone has any tips about who the suspect is, we ask them to call the Police Department immediately. ?

The suspect is being described as a man being between 5 ??2 and 5 ??6 weighing between 120 and 140 pounds. He was wearing a black baseball cap with a white panel in the front, a dark colored plaid long-sleeved button up shirt , dark colored jeans and pointed cowboy boots.. The suspect was also wearing sunglasses and appeared to be clean shaven.

?Anyone with any information on this case is asked to contact the Guymon Police Department at (580) 338-6525.
