Guymon Police Seeks Public Assistance

KSCB News - October 13, 2010 12:00 am

Guymon Police are searching for a suspect who robbed a house in broad daylight Monday morning and ask the public to be on the lookout as well.

Police responded to a burglary in progress Monday morning at the 200 block of N.E. 20th St.

A woman reported a male was in her home while on the phone with the 911 dispatcher. She stated she was upstairs when she heard someone ring her front doorbell. She did not respond and a short time later she heard movement downstairs, looked down and spotted a white male robbing her home. Once spotted, the male fled.

Police quickly responded to the call but the suspect was gone.

“We are asking that anyone report suspicious behavior,” said Chief of Police Eddie Adamson. “People usually know who is supposed to be in their neighborhood so if you see anyone walking that looks out of place, call us and give us a chance to locate this suspect.”

The suspect was identified as being a white male, approximately 5’11, around 130 pounds, dark brown to black hair, clean cut, no facial hair, approximately 17 to 18 years of age and was wearing a white hooded sweater.

If anyone has any information about this crime, please contact the Guymon Police Department at 580-338-6525.
