Campbell Places Ninth at WAC

Megan Campbell continues her good play with a 9th place finish in the WAC final. Megan carded a 49 on the day. A score of 40 from Garden City’s Makinse Thayer was the tournament winner. Liberal’s Jamie Brond and Evan Sumner carded 60’s, while Meghan Hanna shot a 74 and Katie Jennings rounded out the scoring with a 78. Head coach Kody Thexton is optimistic about regionals in Hays Monday. “I am excited with where we are at right now, I think we have a real good shot at sending some girls to state.”

Garden City won the WAC followed by Hays, Dodge City, Great Bend, and Liberal.

Regionals are Monday at Smokey Hill CC in Hays.
