Limited Number of Duck Race Tickets Remain

KSCB News - September 22, 2010 12:00 am

Before Saturday’s big duck race, there is a race to get tickets. Only

three thousand tickets will be sold for the race at “Ducky Downs” in

Blue Bonnet Park Saturday so Chamber of Commerce Executive

Director Rozelle Webb, are there tickets available? “Oh certainly,” Webb

said. “We still have a few ducks left. We won’t sell more than three

thousand so your odds are pretty good at winning one of the prizes.

We do still have some ducks and they are available at the Chamber

office, First National Bank, Southern Office Supply, Collin’s Jewelers,

Ayr Lanes, KSCB Radio, Edward Jones-Greg Bird, Southern Pioneer

Electric, and from any Chamber board member or ambassador.”

Prizes include six thousand for first place, two thousand for second, one

thousand for third, and 500 for fourth and the hard luck duck. The

duck race is at 2 p.m Saturday after a full morning and afternoon of

activities which begin at 8 a.m. Saturday.
