Moving Wall Comes To Northwest Kansas

KSCB News - September 20, 2010 12:00 am

A replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial is coming to northwest Kansas.

The Moving Wall, a half-size replica of the Vietnam memorial, will open Thursday at Norton.

Evening ceremonies are planned for each of the five days the memorial is on display.

The Norton County Arts Council and other organizations worked to bring the wall to the town. The wall will be open to the public 24 hours a day for the duration of the stay. There is no admission charge.

Among the planned ceremonies are an American Legion salute to veterans on Friday and a prisoner of war and missing in action ceremony Saturday.
