Earlier this year, Liberal was awarded a Planning and Programming (P&P) grant from the Kansas Department of Transportation’s Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Program. Over the next few months, the City and school district will be working with KDOT to create a new SRTS plan. The plan will include policy, program, and project recommendations to make walking, biking, and rolling to school safer and more enjoyable.
As they develop the plan, here are a few ways you can participate to help make it the best it can be:
Right now, complete the caregiver survey to let us know how your family currently travels to school, why you travel to school the way you do, and what would encourage you to walk or bike to school more. Please complete the survey by October 9th. https://survey.alchemer.com/…/KDOT-SRTS-Caregiver…
Right now, head to the interactive webmap to let us know where in town you think there are issues; and what you would need to walk or bike to school more. Please submit your answers by October 9th. https://tooledesign.github.io/Liberal_SRTS/
