The Liberal Rattlers won their opening Game of the 10th annual Jim Walton tournament in Elgin. The rattlers beat the Southwest Shockers (Archuleta) 12-3.

The Rattlers scored five in the first, four in the fourth, and three in the fifth.  Manny Mendoza was 3-4 with two RBI’s and two runs. Bentlee Betts slammed a home run to right. Austin Dodge ripped a double bouncing over  the wall in left.  Blayden Betts pitched three innings allowing two earned runs with four strikeouts.  Andrew Wessels pitched two scoreless innings.
The Rattlers have won three straight and playing the Blacksox C at 3 Saturday at Lawton Eisenhower.  They play the Southwest Shockers (Molina) Saturday night at 9pm.
