On May 18, 2026, Undersheriff Ryan Roehr presented a request to the
Seward County Board of County Commissioners seeking approval to apply
for a Cooper Clark Foundation grant to purchase protective bullet-resistant
vests for the Seward County Sheriff’s Office. The grant request totaled
$23,704.60.

On June 2, 2026, the Seward County Sheriff’s Office received official
notification that the grant had been awarded.
The Sheriff’s Department would like to express  sincere gratitude to the Cooper Clark
Foundation for its steadfast commitment to the safety of the deputies. This
generous support will help ensure our personnel have the protective
equipment they need to serve and protect our community safely.
