Jeffry Wayne Mills

Jeffry Wayne Mills, aged 68, passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Friday, June 5, 2026, in Hugoton, Kansas. He was born on February 1, 1958, in Hugoton; he was the beloved son of Gerald “Jerry” Wayne and Shirley Rose (McIIrath) Mills.

Jeff shared a lifetime of love and partnership with his wife, Brenda Jo Roehr, whom he married on April 18, 1983, in their hometown. Together, they were blessed with four wonderful children: Cammie, Kylee, Chase, and Clayton. Their family grew with the arrival of six cherished grandchildren: Aiden, Gracyn, Noah, Eli, Miles, and Cade. The bond Jeff and Brenda nurtured with their children and grandchildren was unwavering, filled with deep love and devotion.

Jeff worked as an operator for Panhandle Eastern and Anadarko Petroleum for over forty years. His main goal was to provide for his family and he achieved that with hardwork and dedication. Jeff took immense pride in his yardwork and lovingly made their home and garden into something to be proud of. He had a passion for muscle cars, enjoyed sharing stories, and treasured making someone’s day. Whether it be delivering produce from his garden, eggs from the chickens, or cracking jokes to make others smile. Above all, his greatest happiness came from time spent with his wife, kids, and grandkids. He was always eager to be on his front porch where he found true contentment.

Jeff is lovingly remembered by his wife Brenda of their home, daughters, Cammie Heaton and her husband Austin of Hugoton, Kansas, and Kylee Morales and her husband Michael of Holcomb, Kansas; sons Chase Mills of Lawrence, Kansas, and Clayton Mills and his wife Victoria of Hugoton, Kansas; his six grandchildren, Aiden, Gracyn, Noah, Eli, Miles, and Cade; sisters Tanya Anderson and her husband Steve of Hugoton, Kansas, Jill Dillmon of Shreveport, Louisiana, and Julie Starkey of Wichita, Kansas; brother Jamie Mills and his wife Stacie of Hugoton, Kansas; as well as many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A heartfelt memorial has been established in Jeff’s name for Pheasant Heaven Charities, cared for by Robson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 236, Hugoton, Kansas 67951.
