Jetta Denise Jennings Goswick

Jetta Denise Jennings Goswick, 67, of Wisner, NE passed away on Monday April 6, 2026 at Meade District Hospital Meade, KS.

She was born on July 31, 1958 to Darold and Sue (Schweitzberger) Ungerer at Liberal, KS.

On May 30, 1995, she married Don Jennings in Salida, CO; he preceded her in death on January 1, 2010.

On December 6, 2010 she married Eric Goswick in Las Vegas, NV.

Jetta grew up in Kismet, KS and was a graduate of Southwestern Heights High School; Class of 1976. She had worked as a School Bus Driver for almost 40 years and was with Liberal USD 480 for 30 years. She was instrumental in the idea and implementation of the blinking strobe lights to be seen in the fog which Kansas placed into law on July 1, 2007. This later went on to become used throughout the United States. In her younger years she enjoyed playing Softball and was a catcher. She also enjoyed playing BINGO, Bowling, Dirt Track Racing, the Colorado Mountains, and spending time with her grandkids and her dogs.

Jetta is survived by her loving husband Eric, Son, Dru Alan Schott (Tabatha) of Columbus, NE; Sisters, Kelli Newton (Russell) of Denison, IA; Traci Schnieder of Kismet, KS; Granddaughter, Bethany Schott of Indianapolis, IN; Three Grandsons, Wyatt Schott of Columbus, NE, Daniel Foster of Wichita, KS, Spencer Schott of Columbus, NE; Several Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Son, Gus Adam Schott, Brother, Robert Darren Ungerer.

A Memorial Service will be on Friday, April 10, 2026, 11:00 am at the Kismet Methodist Church.
