USD 480 Board Approved Upgrades to Redskin Field Fieldhouse

The USD 480 Board of Education met on Monday evening and in new business approved the invoice from Linq in the amount of $23,433.41. USD 480 utilizes Linq for food services point of sale system, application processing, inventory, production records, menu planning, etc.

The Board approved the bid from Apple Specialties Inc. in the amount of $15,991.00 for plumbing fixtures, sinks and faucets, for the student restrooms at Sunflower and Cottonwood.

Southwest Glass was awarded the bid to replace the existing walk through doors at the Redskin Field Fieldhouse as well as replace the swinging concession stand windows with rollup doors in the amount of $28,680.00.

USD 480  solicited bids to perform waterproofing, exterior repairs and painting at Sunflower, Bright Start, McKinley and LHS Redskin fields, specifically on exterior block walls.  The bids received were for labor only and material quantities, materials will be purchased direct from Garland DBS through cooperative purchasing. The Board approved the bid from IWP in the amount of $145,835.00 and the purchase of materials from Garland DBS in the amount of $87,988.00 for a total project cost of $233,823.00.

Approved  at the meeting was the quote from Pur-O-Zone in the amount of $19,721.89 for custodial supplies for the District, and an early Graduation request was approved for Jorge Castillo-Salazar.

After an Executive Session, the Board approved the incident response services from CFC Response in the amount of $115,575.00.
