Visit Liberal Offers Spring Break Fun

Liberal, KS – March 12, 2026 – Who says you have to leave town to have an epic Spring Break? This year, the adventure is happening right here in our own backyard. Visit Liberal is thrilled to announce the Spring Break Snapshot Challenge, a five-day interactive celebration designed to showcase the hidden gems, legendary landmarks, and local flavors that make Liberal unique.

The Snapshot Challenge invites residents and visitors alike to skip the expensive travel and gas lines in favor of a “staycation” filled with creativity, history, and community spirit. From Monday through Friday, a new “Snapshot Mission” will be revealed, encouraging participants to explore the city and capture its beauty through a lens.

The Weekly Mission Lineup:
Monday: Arts & Creativity – Kick off the week at the Baker Arts Center or take a “Mural Crawl” through town.
Tuesday: History & Discovery – From massive wingspans at the air museum to historic train tracks, find Liberal’s legendary stories.
Wednesday: Journey to Oz – Pay a visit to the official home of Dorothy Gale and find your own “Oz-some” photo op.
Thursday: Nature & Fresh Air – Hit one of Liberal’s 7 city parks, walking paths, or pickleball courts for some outdoor competition.
Friday: Foodie Friday & Hometown Heart – Support “mom and pop” eateries and food trucks while performing a random act of kindness for a neighbor.

How to Participate & Win
Participants are encouraged to Get Out & Roam, Snap & Share, and Vote.

Snap & Share: Post your photos in the comments of the daily mission posts on the Visit Liberal social media pages. Every unique photo and location counts as one entry—the more you roam, the more chances you have to win.
The Vote: All entries must be submitted by Saturday morning. On Saturday, photos will be moved to a public voting gallery where the community can “Like” their favorites.
The Prizes: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes will be awarded to the most popular snapshots of the week.

Winners will be officially announced on Monday, March 23rd.
