Seward County Sheriff’s Office Drug Investigations

Beginning in October 2025, the Seward County Sheriff’s Office, in coordination with the Liberal Police Department and the Haskell County Sheriff’s Office, conducted a comprehensive investigation into a methamphetamine distribution network operating throughout Southwest Kansas and the surrounding region.
Throughout the course of this investigation, numerous individuals involved in both the use and supply of illegal narcotics were identified. To date, nine (9) arrests have been made of individuals directly involved in the distribution and use of dangerous drugs within our communities. As a result of this investigation, over fifteen (15) pounds of methamphetamine intended for distribution have been seized. This remains an ongoing investigation, and additional arrests are anticipated.

The Seward County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the Kansas Highway Patrol for their assistance and cooperation in this investigation.

The Seward County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to aggressively targeting drug trafficking organizations and individuals who threaten the safety and well-being of our communities. Through continued collaboration with local, state, and federal law enforcement partners, the Sheriff’s Office will persist in its efforts to disrupt the distribution of illegal drugs, hold offenders accountable, and protect the citizens of Seward County and the surrounding region.
