Grass Fire Keeps Seward County Fire Busy

On Friday March 5th, at 12:30pm Seward County Fire Department was dispatched to a vegetation fire with power lines down on North Hwy 83 South of the River Bridge. Units secured the area until electrical company could arrive and mitigate the power line. The fire burned less than an acre. The department responded with 1 chief officer, 1 engine, 4 attack trucks, 1 water tender, and 7 firefighters. No injuries or damage was reported.
