USD 480 is thrilled to announce that they have nominated two very deserving educators for the 2028 Kansas Teacher of the Year Award. Join in congratulating and celebrating Mrs. Michelle Bremenkamp, Liberal High School math teacher, the secondary nominee and Mrs. Rachel Hunt, MacArthur Elementary music teacher, the elementary nominee on this distinction!
Mrs. Bremenkamp and Mrs. Hunt will represent USD 480 in the KSDE Kansas Teacher of the Year Award selection process for both the regional and state level award.
In the spring of 2028, these two will join fellow nominees from across the state to build and utilize a network of exemplary teachers who are leaders in the improvement of schools, student performance, and the teaching profession to help inspire new ideas and techniques to further the education of their students back home.
They will get to see how other exemplary teachers are making a difference in their district and what those districts are doing to foster growth and innovation in education. They will also host a group of fellow nominees to showcase what they are doing at their schools and in their classrooms to make a difference to students within our district.
