Seward Drops Soccer Opener

The Seward men’s soccer team opened their season with a 3-2 loss against Dallas College Mountain View Saturday at Redskin Field in Liberal.  Mountain View scored a first half goal to the 1-0 lead.  That was the halftime score.  Seward struck back on a Samuel Jimenez penalty kick at the 61 minute mark to tie the game.  Joao Siqueira gave the Saints the lead 10 minutes late with an assist by Martin Dunn.  Dallas College Mountain View scored the tying goal at the 80 minute mark and took the lead at the 86 minute mark.  Seward received a red card in the first half and Mountain View had a second half red card.  Seward hosts Lamar Wednesday night at 7pm.
