On December 13, 2023, the Beaver County Sheriff’s Office requested the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation to assist with a sexual assault investigation involving a child.
Special agents with the OSBI interviewed the child, who reported being sexually abused. Evidence was collected and the suspect, 48-year-old Andrew Nyles Lackey, was interviewed.
Based on the information obtained during the investigation, Lackey was arrested and booked into the Beaver County Jail on a Child Sexual Abuse charge.
“These charges are a serious concern and we have taken this step in accordance with that,” said SCCC President Brad Bennett. In addition to his suspension without pay, Lackey is barred from campus and college activities.
