Tyrone Mayor Loses Fight With Cancer

Tyrone Oklahoma’s long-time Mayor and City Councilman, Lisha Banning lost her battle with cancer. at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. Lisha, who fought a long hard battle with cancer, first being diagnosed in 2002, contracted pneumonia before passing away. Lisha has served the City opf Tyrone as Mayor for 6 years. Lisha was also very active in the Tyrone Booster Club, and the Little League program. Lisha leaves behind her husband and Tyrone firefighter Brett Banning, and two children, Angela, and Travis.
