Two Saints Suspended Two Games

KSCB News - January 14, 2015 1:24 pm

Two Seward basketball players will serve a two game suspension after Seward’s game at Barton Monday night. The KJCCC announced the ruling Tuesday afternoon. Seward will play the next two games without two of their top three leading scorers and their leading rebounder. The Saints will play at Dodge City Saturday and at home against Garden City Wednesday without Kevin Sims and Jamal Poplar. Kevin Sims was shoved in the face by a Barton player before Sims punched the Barton player with 1:33 to play in Monday’s game at Barton. Jamal Poplar shoved a Barton player who was getting ready to punch a Seward player also landing him in a two game penalty box. Barton’s Ahmad Walker and Eddie Hunt will also miss two games. Sims averages 15 a game and Poplar scores 11 game and five rebounds per contest. Seward plays Saturday at 7:30 at the Dodge City Civic Center on B107.5 and kscbnews.net.
