Sublette Seeks to Get Back to Winning Ways

KSCB News - August 29, 2013 2:51 pm

The Sublette Larks were 5-4 two years ago but slumped to 2-7 last year. This season as Steve Simpson enters his 10th season as head coach, SHS has seven starters back on both sides of the ball. Simpson’s biggest concern is the fact that only 24 players are out for football.

Key Larks include Sr. QB/LB Brendan Giesick, Sr. OL/DL Travis Webb, Sr. OL/LB Chris Ornellas, Jr. WR/S Nate Cearley, Jr. OL/DL Trevin Rigel, Jr. OL/DL Sam Massey, Jr. WR/DB Obed Meraz, So. RB/LB Sebastian Morales, and So. RB/LB Brett Blackwood. Webb is a third year starter while Giesick, Rigel, and Massey are two year starters.

Sublette opens at Southwestern Heights Friday, September 6 at 7 on 102.7 FM. The Larks were featured during the Thursday Sportsguys.
