Seward County Republican Party Elects Officers, Makes Appointments

KSCB News - November 14, 2014 8:19 am

The Seward County Republican Party met Thursday night at 6:00pm in the Seward County Commission Chambers for the purpose of election of officers and to make appointments to unfilled Precinct positions. Elected to serve as Chairman was Joe Denoyer with Vanessa Reever being elected to the Vice-Chairman position. Elected to the Treasurers position was Stacia Long, with Sandy Wolfram elected as Secretery.

Precinct appointments made at the meeting include:
John and Cindi Knudsen Ward 3
John and Beverly Malin Ward 5
Steve Leete for Precinct 6-1
Kathy Fitzgerald Liberal Township 4
J.L. and Norma Handy Fargo 3
Kevin Clark Fargo 4
Cheri and Stan Reiss Seward 3

Also discussed at the meeting was the success of the Republican Party statewide in the recent General Election, but more specifically how Seward County results were overwhelmingly in favor of the Republican candidates. In all races, the percentages of votes received were some of the highest in the entire state. This was attributed to a grass roots effort by members of the local party getting out, registering voters, and spreading the message of the Republican Party.
