Have you ever considered running for public office?

The 2017 City/School Election is coming up and the deadline to file for office is June 1.

If you have ever considered running for public office, you are encouraged to attend one of two informational meetings planned to address “how to run for office.”

Seward County Clerk Stacia Long will be present to provide information and to discuss other important issues and upcoming deadlines. Several former elected officials will be in attendance as well.

The forums will take place at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 18 and Thursday, May 25 at the Seward County Administration Building 515 N. Washington (Second Floor).

Important information and candidate packets will be available at the meetings with light refreshments being served.

For additional information, contact the Seward County Clerk’s office at (620) 626-3355.
