Saints Dynamic Duo Leads them to Sweep

Seward’s top two pitchers pitched gems when the Saints season was on the brink yesterday evening at Brent Gould Field. Seward’s two 6’6″ aces Bobby Doran and Corey Collins combined to allow one run and seven hits in Seward’s sweep over Hutchinson Sunday evening at Brent Gould Field. Seward won game one 3-0 behind Doran’s three hit shutout and took game two 6-1 after Collins allowed four hits. Both SCCC hurlers are 7-2. Offensively in game one, Kelby Tomlinson drove home two runs. In game two, Travis Parker went 3-4 with two RBI’s. Jared Broadbent also drove home two runs. The Saints are 28-17 overall and 15-11 in the Jayhawk West. Hutch is 16-10 in the Jayhawk West and 20-21 overall. The two teams square off again today for a double header beginning at 4 pm on Brent Gould Field. Both games will air this afternoon and evening on Talkradio 1270 and kscb.net.
