Paul Edward Davis

Paul Edward Davis, age 83, died Thursday, Aug. 11, 2011 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, KS. He was born July 20, 1928 in Stoughton , MA., the son of John and Helma (Grier) McCarty.
He was a member of the United States Coast Guard for 6½ years. He was a resident of Turpin for 43 years and a member of Turpin Baptist Church . He worked for the Turpin Public Schools for 20 years. Paul was very active with the youth in the school and the community. He coached Little League baseball, drove activity bus and kept stats at the football games. He loved hunting, fishing and being outdoors. Most of all, he loved his family and his grandkids.
On Feb. 24, 1968, he married Dolores McAlister in Liberal, KS. She survives.

Colleen McCarthy – Portland , OR
1 Sister Hilma Davis – Vermont
12 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Kathleen Chester and brother John McCarthy.
Funeral service will be 10:00 am Monday, Aug. 15th, at the Turpin Baptist Church , Turpin , OK , with Rev. Stan Lehnert and Pastor Jason Loggins presiding. Burial will be in Liberal Cemetery . Viewing will be one hour before service time at the church.
In lieu of flowers and plants, memorial contributions may be sent to the Turpin Baptist Church in care of Brenneman Funeral Home, 1212 W. 2nd, Liberal , KS 67901 .
