Jose Acevedo

Jose Acevedo, 90, Garden City, KS , a former Liberal resident, died Sunday, August 14, 2011 at his home.

He was born November 18, 1920 in Zacatecas, MX , the son of
Rafael & Quinna Vargas Acevedo.

He came to Liberal in 1995 from California where he worked in a
nursery for many years, retiring in 1983.

He married Maria L. Bueno 1937 in Zacatecas, MX, she died
October 4, 2000.

He is survived by five sons, Rafeal Acevedo, Liberal, KS;
Jose Acevedo, Midland, TX; Samuel Acevedo, Anaheim, CA;
Heriberto & Tomas Acevedo both of Garden City, KS; five
daughters, Ofelia Villa, Baja, CA; Kirina Gonzales, Baja, CA;
Maria Mata, Chi., MX; Olivia Juardo, Mexico City, MX;
Yolanda Fierro, Garden City, KS; three brothers, Rafael Acevedo, CA; Refugio & Tranqullin Acevedo, Baja, CA; one sister, Romana Acevedo, Pamona, CA; fifty-eight grandchildren,
fifty-seven great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren
and great-great-great-grandchildren.

Rosary will be 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at St. Anthony Catholic Church,
Liberal, KS.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday at St. Anthony
Church, with Rev. James P. Dieker officiating.

Interment will be in the Liberal Cemetery.

Friends may call at Miller Mortuary 1-8 P.M. Tuesday,
9 A.M.-5:00 P.M.
