Arnella J. Carmichael, age 58, passed away early Monday morning, May 15,2017, at her rural Meade, Kansas, residence.
She was born January 12, 1959, at Garden City, Kansas, the daughter of Warren Leroy and Lila J. Koehn. As a young girl she attended the Copeland school system, graduating from Copeland High School in 1977. She later attended Garden City Community College receiving her CNA training. A longtime resident of Meade, she was a CNA, landscaper, bus driver and served as a Para at the Meade Elementary School.
She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gardening, working in the outdoors, and spending time with her family and friends.
On April 9, 1983, she married John Christopher Carmichael at Meade, Kansas. He precedes her in death on November 29, 2011.
She is survived by her children, Devin Werner and husband Chris of Cimarron, Kansas, Eddie Carmichael of Winfield, Kansas, and Toby Carmichael of Meade, Kansas; her mother, Lila Koehn of Meade; three sisters, Daylene Conolly of Lewistown, Montana, Melissa Koehn and Mandy Koehn, both of Broomfield, Colorado; and a granddaughter, Braylee Werner.
She is preceded in death by her husband; father; and a brother-in-law, Vern Conolly.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 20, 2017, at St. John Lutheran Church, Meade. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00p.m. Friday at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade. Interment will follow in the Graceland Cemetery, Meade.
The family would welcome memorials to the Meade Elementary School in care of the funeral home
